Yanique ‘The Curvy Diva’ Barrett has been on the entertainment scene since 2006 when she hosted the first season of the TV show ‘In Di Dance’ in Jamaica.
Since then, the gorgeous 5-foot-7 beauty has blossomed into a seasoned media personality, MC and Host of quite a few regional TV and radio shows including the critically acclaimed Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall aired on the number one Television station in Jamaica, TVJ.
It seems television runs through Yanique’s veins, because as a child she ran through the halls of the nation’s first broadcaster, JBC, where her father Astley Barrett worked for 16 years as a cameraman and editor.

This past student of Northern Caribbean University was professionally trained in video production at CPTC, an experience, she says, which has widened her perspective on the dynamics of video production and presentation.
Yanique has a passion for behind the scenes as well as being in front of the camera. This keen eye for
visual production assists in her creation of professional videos for her extremely popular social media platforms, specifically Instagram, as well as conceptualizing advertising campaigns here in Jamaica under her Yadelco Production Brand.
A big fan of dancehall, Yanique has been involved in dancehall promotion for some years and has spearheaded the development of several dancehall events, such as Elite Wednesdays, River Sundays and Dancehall Heroes in Negril.

She says her musical taste is concentrated in Jamaican music and wants to contribute to the development of dancehall: “One of my main goals is to see dancehall consistently maintain the presence and respect it deserves internationally.”
Now The Curvy Diva has officially embarked on a musical career officially signed to mega recording label Good Good Productions. She has released her first ever single
entitled ‘Lifestyle’ on the label’s
Money Mix Riddim and is looking
at shooting the official music video shortly. Other singles to be released this year include recordings from Anju Blaxxx and RDX for their apartment 19 Music label.
